By targeting the fundraising platform that empowers everyday Americans to support candidates of their choice, Trump is attempting to silence his political opposition through blatant abuse of presidential power.
The administration's cynical use of “foreign contributions” justifications to undermine campaign finance systems reveals their true agenda: restricting political participation to the wealthy and powerful. This follows the authoritarian playbook where elections exist in name only while democratic freedoms are systematically dismantled.
